Miss USA Savannah Gankiewicz, crowned after Noelia Voigt’s resignation, revealed she has received death threats and hateful messages.

Gankiewicz expressed her distress over the backlash, stating it breaks her heart and acknowledging the bullying and harassment she has faced. Voigt resigned citing mental health reasons but later accused the pageant’s CEO, Laylah Rose, of creating a toxic environment and mishandling a sexual harassment incident.

Rose responded, emphasizing her commitment to the well-being of those involved with Miss USA. Following Voigt’s resignation, Miss Teen USA and the pageant’s social media manager also stepped down. Gankiewicz, who will hold the title until August, stated she empathized with her predecessors and believed taking the crown was the right decision for her community.
