Authorities have conducted a raid at a Florida mansion suspected to be the home of Sean Kingston, also known as Kisean Anderson. Court documents from February identified him as residing in the property near Fort Lauderdale. The singer faces accusations from a company of not fully paying for an oversized TV and sound system. An adult female, believed to be his mother, was arrested at the location on Thursday morning on charges of fraud and theft.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office confirmed the arrest and search warrants, stating that the investigation is ongoing. Kingston responded to the news on Instagram, reassuring followers and stating that his lawyers are handling the situation. Ver Ver Entertainment, the company involved, alleges that Kingston made false representations to obtain the products and failed to fulfill payment obligations. A lawyer representing the company expressed intent to retrieve the property following the raid. Kingston, 34, is recognized for songs like “Beautiful Girls” and “Fire Burning.”
